~ with apologies to Robert Frost
If you came here looking for The Observer, the student newspaper of Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts, it now has an official site, which you can reach by clicking on its nameplate below.
If, on the other hand, you came here looking for Eugene O’Brien’s blog, which, in spite of at least two people’s best intentions, was all that the content at this url ever really managed to be, clicking on the handsome gentleman below will take you to it.
It’s a nascent webzine, and I ~ for it is Eugene who is typin’ these words! ~ am going to try to shanghai a number of writin’ buddies (the number of prospects may soon reach as high as ten!) into participatin’. The fact that I’m lapsing into my Texan patois may be a clue that some of the articles will not have a BCC or Fall River flavor, but will be set wherever ideas are discussed and even fought over by people who care enough to do so. One projected article should be aimed squarely at the radical historian who wrote a book entitled How the Irish Became White, a book that I thought highly enough of to present it to Her who is my Muse for St. Patty’s Day: “Noel Ignatiev Calls for the Abolition of Reality.”
